Rozsáhlá expozice Šternberského paláce v několika patrech budovy představuje umělecká díla antického Řecka a Říma, , italské umění 14. – 18. století, nizozemské umění 15. – 16. století, výtvory španělských umělců 16. – 18. století, průřez francouzských malířských škol 17. – 18. století, vlámské a holandské umění 16. – 18. století. Stálou prezentaci má v paláci kolekce německého a rakouského malířství 15. – 18. století.
Setkáte se mimo jiné s obrazy A. Bronzina, G. B. Tiepola, El Greca, F. Goyi, P. P. Rubense, H. Holbeina st. či A. Dürera.

Šternberský palác organizuje komentované prohlídky, sérii doprovodných vzdělávacích programů a v neposlední řadě amatérský výtvarný ateliér, kde si dospělí i děti mohou vyzkoušet svůj talent a představivost.
