Informace

Připravilo Ministerstvo zdravotnictví ve spolupráci se zdravotními pojišťovnami. Cílem projektu je zejména celkové zvýšení návštěvnosti screeningových programů v České republice a snížení počtu diagnostikovaných karcinomů prsu, děložního hrdla a kolorekta v pozdních stadiích. Projekt zároveň posiluje zájem obyvatel České republiky o prevenci nádorových onemocnění a podporuje aktivní přístup občanů k péči o vlastní zdraví.

Projekt je inspirovaný statistikou, podle níž v ČR ročně onemocní rakovinou prsu více než 6 000 žen, rakovinou děložního hrdla přibližně 1 000 žen a rakovinou tlustého střeva asi 8 000 osob. Značné procento zjištěných karcinomů se nachází v pokročilém stadiu, kdy jsou vyhlídky pacientů na úplné vyléčení výrazně nižší. I proto u nás ročně umírá přibližně 2 000 žen na rakovinu prsu, průměrně 1 žena denně na rakovinu děložního hrdla a přes 4 000 mužů a žen na rakovinu tlustého střeva. Projekt chce tato čísla změnit k lepšímu.
